Do residents have access to the lagoon?

Yes, residents who live in Epperson and are part of the Epperson Club LLC have access to the lagoon during normal operating hours.

Do guests of Epperson residents have access to the lagoon?

Yes, Epperson Club LLC resident-members are welcome to bring their guests to the Metro Lagoon of Epperson. Every resident-member will receive 25 free guest passes to use throughout the year. Once all 25 passes have been put to use, each guest of a resident-member will be charged $5 to access to Metro Lagoon. Fees apply to all guests ages 3+. Please note, to take advantage of this discounted pricing, resident and guest must arrive at the lagoon together.

Do non-Epperson residents have access to the lagoon?

Non-residents will be granted limited access to the lagoon for a fee. The Metro Lagoon at Epperson is the first-of-its-kind amenity in the United States and we have not yet determined if we will continue limited non-resident access once the community is completed. The daily rate for a non-resident is $25.00 per person. We have a limited time promotional daily rate of $10 per person. Fees apply to all guests ages 3+. All fees subject to sales tax.

How do I purchase a day pass to the Epperson lagoon?

Day passes must be purchased at the front entrance of the lagoon, or online. *Not guaranteed if purchased in person.

Are multi-day passes available?

Annual/monthly passes are not available. To gain access to the lagoon you must be an Epperson Club LLC resident member or pay the per-person rate every day.

Is there a fee for parking?

Parking is always free for Residents but we will be selling a premium parking package soon. Pricing TBD. Non club members parking is $5

Can my children access the lagoon without me?

Patrons under the age of 13 years old must be accompanied by a patron that is at least 13 years or older to enter.

What are the hours of operation?

Initially, the lagoon will open around 10AM and most days will close at dusk. We will post actual hours of operation onsite and on this website. Please note that hours are subject to change for special events, holidays and seasonal considerations throughout the year.

What should I wear to the lagoon?

The Epperson Lagoon is a family-friendly environment. You must wear appropriate beach/swim attire at all times.  No thongs.  For the health and safety of all our guests, children in diapers are required to wear a swim diaper when entering the lagoon waters.

Is smoking permitted inside of the lagoon?

Smoking (including electronic cigarettes & vape devices) will only be permitted in designated smoking areas and not allowed in the lagoon water.

Can I bring my pet with me to the lagoon?

Animals are not permitted into the lagoon grounds with the exception of documented service dogs.

Can I bring outside food and beverages with me when I visit?

Outside food and beverage is not permitted unless otherwise approved for a special event and/or private rental.  This includes but not limited to bottled water, soda, alcoholic beverages, food, etc. Please note that coolers are not permitted into the lagoon grounds. We are happy to accommodate special requests.

Is food for sale?

Yes, non-perishable snacks will be available for purchase. Food trucks will be available during weekend hours while our café called “The Reef” is under construction.

Are beverages for sale?

Yes, we will have a variety of non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages available for sale.  For your convenience we have water fountains located throughout the lagoon grounds.  You are welcome to bring an empty water bottle or small insulated cup with you. All bottles and cups are subject to search. Please note: no glass allowed.

Can I bring a chair with me to the lagoon?

No. For your convenience, we have complimentary lounge chairs located around Gasparilla Island. The Tiki Huts can be rented for private parties. Our exclusive Cabana Pool area offers half-day and full-day cabana and lounge chair rentals. Please see the Events & Activities Director for bookings and information. All prices subject to sales tax and all pricing will be posted onsite and online.

What payments do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards to include Visa, MasterCard, Discover and Amex. As well as cash.

Can I have a private party at the lagoon?

Yes, areas of the lagoon are available for private use. We offer a variety of rental packages to accommodate your event.  Coming soon, please send an email to our Events & Activities Director so that we can assist with your booking.

What types of flotation devices can I bring?

US Coast Guard approved flotation devices are available upon request. Small single noodles and U.S. coast guard approved flotation devices are permitted.

Can I bring my own kayak or paddleboard to the lagoon?

For your convenience we have kayak & paddleboard hourly rentals available with our onsite vendor, Floatz. The current rate is $10 per hour, per kayak or paddleboard.  Residents receive a 20% discount. Personal watercrafts are not permitted inside the lagoon. Only residents are permitted to store their kayak or paddleboard onsite for a monthly fee of $10/month per vessel. All fees subject to sales tax.

How do I sign-up to go on the Wibit aquatic playground and inflatable slide?

Please visit Floatz, our onsite watercraft vendor once you gain access to the lagoon. Fees do apply. Lagoon safety is our number one priority and there may be skill, height, weight and age requirements for all recreational activities on the lagoon.  The current rate is $10 per Wibit timed-session and $10 per day for slide access. All Residents receive a 20% OFF discount. Upgrade your day.

What happens if there is inclement weather?

The safety of all our guests is our top priority, therefore inclement weather may cause us to temporarily close the lagoon. We ask that all guests adhere to weather warnings and seek shelter. If you keep your daily wristband on you, you will be permitted entrance back into the lagoon once the weather has cleared. Same day reentry only.

Are lifeguards on duty?

The lagoon is a swim-at-your-own-risk facility. Please be advised that there are no lifeguards on duty. If anyone in your party needs a lifejacket, please visit Floatz once onsite. Life jackets are complimentary but do require a small, refundable deposit.
