What is the price for admission? What is included in admission?

Non-residents pay $24.95 plus tax per adult and $22.95 per child ages 4-12. Children 3 and under are free. This includes your access into the Lagoon for swimming, slide, free lounge chairs on our beach,  along with access to The Sand Bar and its resort style swim up bar. There are options to upgrade your day with water recreational rentals, exclusive entry into the Cabana Cove with its private shaded seating, along with renting any of our 3 Tiki’s for your large group parties.

What can I bring to the Lagoon?

You can bring your beach umbrella, towels, sunscreen, one pool noodle per person, bottles of water or refillable water bottle, and water toys. For a full list of approved and prohibited items click here.

Inclement weather policy?

The safety of all our guests is our top priority. Therefore, inclement weather may cause us to temporarily close the lagoon. We ask that all guests adhere to weather warnings and seek shelter. Tickets and activities at Epperson Lagoon are nontransferable and nonrefundable. You cannot cancel or get a refund for a ticket or activity.

Lighting Mileage Procedures

15 miles – paddleboards & kayaks come back to dock

10 miles – all guests clear out of water including obstacle course, Island, and Lagoon

5 miles – all guest must exit park

Managers will give approval for guests to re-enter the park after immediate threat of lightning strikes have passed and after a reasonable amount of time has passed. It is at the company’s discretion whether the park will remain closed or reopen after weather events.

Hurricane Exception 

In the event that a hurricane warning is issued by the National Hurricane Center for the Tampa area—or for your place of residence—within 3 days of your scheduled arrival date, you may be able to reschedule or cancel your tickets.

How do I purchase a day pass to the Epperson Lagoon?

Day passes can be purchased online, which will guarantee you a spot in the lagoon in the instance that the Lagoon hits maximum capacity. You also have the option of walking up to guest service window to purchase a ticket.

How can I rent cabana’s and premium seating?

Cabana Cove rentals can be purchased by calling guest services at 813-527-0775. Cabana Cove rentals do not include admission and have to be paid for at the time a reservation is made. To enter Cabana Cove you must have a wristband.

Are lifeguards on duty?

The lagoon is a swim-at-your-own-risk facility. Please be advised that there are no lifeguards on duty. If anyone in your party needs a lifejacket we have them placed at entrance ramp or you can visit the Floatz tent water activity rentals tent.

What should I wear to the lagoon?

The Epperson Lagoon is a family-friendly environment. You must wear appropriate beach/swim attire at all times. No thongs or Brazilian cut bath suits. For the health and safety of all our guests, children in diapers are required to wear a swim diaper when entering the lagoon waters.

Can my children access the lagoon without me?

Patrons under the age of 13 years old must be accompanied by a patron that is at least 13 years or older.*

Are food and beverages for sale?

Yes, we will have food trucks and a variety of non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages available for sale. For your convenience we have water fountains located throughout the lagoon grounds. You are also welcome to bring your own bottles of water and use our filtered refill stations to keep hydrated. If you have any dietary restrictions and having any concerns please contact guest services.

Can I bring outside food and beverages with me when I visit?

Soft Coolers of Water Bottles are allowed. Coolers size cannot be larger than a 9 can soft sided cooler. Additional outside food and beverage is not permitted unless otherwise approved for a special event and/or private rental.  This includes but not limited to soda, alcoholic beverages, food, etc. We are happy to accommodate special requests.

Are multi-day passes available?

Annual/monthly passes are not available. To gain access to the lagoon you must be an Epperson Club LLC resident member or pay the per-person rate every day.

Is there a fee for parking?

Parking is free for all visitors.

Can I have a private party at the lagoon?

Yes, areas of the lagoon are available for private use. We offer a variety of rental packages to accommodate your event.  Please send an email to our Events & Activities Director for more information so that we can assist with your booking.

Is smoking permitted inside of the lagoon?

The Lagoon is a smoke and vape free facility, there are designated smoking areas outside of the Lagoon.

Can I bring my pet with me to the lagoon?

Animals are not permitted into the lagoon grounds with the exception of documented service dogs.

Can I bring a chair with me to the lagoon?

There is no need. For your convenience, we have complimentary lounge chairs located around Gasparilla Island. The Tiki Huts can be rented for private parties. Our exclusive Cabana Pool area offers exclusive chair rentals along with a Cabana. Call to reserve your exclusive seating today at 813-527-0775.

What payments do you accept?

We accept cash as well as all major credit cards including Visa, MasterCard, Discover and Amex. 

What types of flotation devices can I bring?

US Coast Guard approved flotation devices are available upon request. Small single noodles and U.S. coast guard approved flotation devices are permitted.

Can I bring my own kayak or paddleboard to the lagoon?

For your convenience we have kayak & paddleboard hourly rentals available with our onsite vendor, Floatz. The current rate is $10 per hour, per kayak or paddleboard.  Residents receive a 20% discount. Personal watercrafts are not permitted inside the lagoon. All fees subject to sales tax.

How do I sign-up to go on the Water Obstacle Course and Kayak/Paddleboard?

To sign up for the Water Obstacle Course or the Kayak/Paddleboard you can either sign up online, at the admissions department in the lagoon, or the Floatz Activity Tent near the water slide. Fees do apply. Lagoon safety is our number one priority and there may be skill, height, weight and age requirements for all recreational activities on the lagoon.  The current rate starts at $10 per Water Obstacle Course timed-session.

RULES

No Lifeguards are on duty. Enter & swim at your own risk.

Patrons are encouraged to speak to their physician before engaging in physical activities. All patrons utilize the lagoon at their own risk.  Assumption of risk and liability forms must be signed and on file before entering the lagoon.

Anyone under 21 years of age may not consume alcohol on property at any time.  State or government issued I.D. must be presented to verify age.

We are not responsible for lost or stolen items.  Patrons are encouraged to leave personal belongings at home or in a safe location.  Staff members are not permitted to hold valuables or bags for patrons.

Patrons under age 13 years must be accompanied by a patron who is at least 13 years or older to enter.

Height and weight requirements may apply on certain water sport & recreational activities, see Floatz for details.

Epperson Lagoon is a family and residential experience, therefore we ask that the appropriate swim attire be worn throughout your visit (i.e., no bathing-suit thongs, or Brazilian style bikini bottoms please)

For safety, diaper age children must wear swim diapers when entering the lagoon water.

Smoking of tobacco, e-cigarettes, products that produce a vapor or smoke are permitted in designated areas only.

The lagoon may close for water contamination, maintenance, special events, and inclement weather.

Inclement weather may cause the lagoon to be temporarily closed. In the event of a closure, all patrons must leave the lagoon immediately.  Re-entry will be permitted on the same day if weather permits during operating hours.

Anyone that appears to be under the influence of an illegal substance may be asked to leave the facility at the discretion of staff.

Patrons are not permitted in restricted or staff only areas.

Persons with open cuts, wounds, sores or blisters may not enter the lagoon water.

All persons, bags, belongings, and other items may be subject to search.

Prohibited Items

Firearms or weapons

Pets or other animals (with exception to approved service animals) are not permitted in the lagoon

Outside alcohol or Illegal substances

Outside food or beverage or coolers

Outside chairs, unless otherwise stated for a special event

Tents

Glass containers with exception to approved small containers such as baby food jars

Recreational devices such as bicycles, skateboards, rollerblades, hoverboards, scooters, golf carts, drones, and all other motorized vehicles are not permitted inside the lagoon; member golf carts are permitted in designated parking areas.

All water vessels to include but not limited to kayaks, paddle boards, skim boards, surfboards, rafts, and floats are not permitted.

Large sports balls to include footballs, basketballs, playground balls, etc. are not permitted unless otherwise stated for a special event.  Large inflatable rafts, large water toys, and watercraft are not permitted.  US Coast Guard approved flotation devices are available upon request. Small single noodles and U.S. coast guard approved flotation devices are permitted.

Other items that we deem disruptive or inappropriate

Diving

Flips, back jumps, back dives or other dangerous actions from the side of the lagoon

Profanity or disruptive behavior to include horseplay

Intoxication

Running

Sale or distribution of goods or services

The distribution of printed or recorded materials of any kind

Feeding any wildlife

Strollers and small wagons are permitted and subject to search

Photography, videotaping, and recording of any kind of anyone not in your party

Engaging in any unsafe acts that may impede the operation of the lagoon

Company Rights

Rules are subject to change as deemed necessary by the Epperson Club, LLC and management. We reserve the right to deny admission or to require a person already admitted to leave the lagoon without refund, liability or compensation if we consider the circumstances so require . Lagoon rules and regulations are subject to change without notice

Child Restrictions

  • Kayak/Paddleboard – minimum of 42 inches tall to receive their own vessel. Smaller children can accompany an adult. Must be at least 8 years old to ride alone.
  • Water Obstacle Course – Must be a minimum of 42 inches tall, 6 years of age or older, and able to swim.
  • Slidezilla – minimum of 42 inches tall
  • Patrons under the age of 13 years old must be accompanied by a patron that is at least 13 years or older.
